However, just when he is about to take him into custody, the man saves his life. After the new sheriff is gunned down in cold blood, the Marshal decides to take his place. The Trail Beyond (1934) B&W 55 Minutes Not Rated Starring John Wayne, Verna Hillie, Noah Beery Rod Drew (John Wayne) agrees to help locate a friend's missing brother and his niece so he sets off to the Canadian Northwest, the last known location of the two. Along the way, Drew must rescue his friend from a false accusation of shooting a card shark, by jumping off a train and end up finding a skeleton with a map to a mine. Taking the map, the two men make it to the local general store and ask the owner to lock up the map for safe keeping, not knowing that others have plans for stealing the map and taking the mine.
Hell Town (1937) B&W 57 Minutes Not Rated Starring John Wayne, Syd Saylor, Marsha Hunt Cattleman Tom hires his cousin Dare Rudd to lead a large cattle drive at the urging of his girlfriend. He doesn't realize that Dare is romantically interested in his girl and that the feeling may be mutual. When Dare loses the money for the drive to crooked gamblers it's up to Tom to win it back. However, it's up to Dare to save Tom's life.
'Neath the Arizona Skies (1934) B&W 55 Minutes Not Rated Starring John Wayne, George 'Gabby' Hayes, Sheila Terry Chris Morrell (John Wayne) is the guardian of a little Native American girl, who's the heir to a $50,000 oil claim, and he must track down her long-lost father in order for her to receive the claim. Other men hear about the girl's inheritance and plot to kidnap the girl in order to get their hands on the money. Morrell now must also protect the girl from kidnapping and avoid the law due to a case of mistaken identity as well as attempt to find her father before the claim expires.
Paradise Canyon (1935) B&W 53 Minutes Not Rated Starring John Wayne, Marion Burns, Earl Hodges A government agent is sent to the border territory to stop a gang of counterfeiters so he goes undercover in a traveling medicine show. Suspecting that the owner of the show is the head of the ring, he is surprised to find the owner and his daughter kidnapped by the real counterfeiters.
Rainbow Valley (1935) B&W 47 Minutes Not Rated Starring John Wayne, George 'Gabby' Hayes, Lucille Brown John Martin (John Wayne) arrives in the town of Rainbow Valley, which is trying to build a road to connect it's mines with the outside world, and finds the project in jeopardy of failing due to the interference of some bandits. The bandits are working for town leader Rogers, who wants the land and the mines for himself and is concerned that with Martin now running the road project his plans will fail. Rogers brings in Butch Galt, a hired gun, to get rid of Martin and it turns out that Martin and Galt had spent some time in prison together.
Riders of Destiny (1933) B&W 53 Minutes Not Rated Starring John Wayne, George 'Gabby' Hayes, Cecilia Parker An undercover government agent comes to town to investigate a water supply problem with the local farmers. It turns out that an unscrupulous local businessman has a monopoly on the water and is forcing the farmers to pay high prices for it or forfeit their land. The agent comes up with a plan to get water for the farmers and bring the water baron to justice.
Sagebrush Trail (1933) B&W 55 Minutes Not Rated Starring John Wayne, Nancy Shubert, Yakima Canutt When John Brandt (John Wayne) is sent to jail for a murder he never committed, he escapes and eludes the law, heading west to freedom. He joins an outlaw gang and is befriended by Jones who turns out to be the real culprit in the killing. In spite of this, he had no idea that anyone had been convicted in his place. Brandt decides to forgive and forget, but everything changes when the pair falls for the same girl.

Francis John Wayne is Dick Wallace, a spoiled rich man whose father disapproves of his playboy-like ways. His father would rather have him settle down and take a job in his company as manager of the collection department. After taking the job to please his father and heading on a trip to make a collection, Wallace falls for the granddaughter of the man he is to collect from, Marion Hall (Evalyn Knapp). Despite his father's objections, Wallace marries the girl. Marion then takes a job as a secretary at the elder Wallace's company to prove him wrong about her and his son's marriage.
